Use this page to edit the ILP grade placement of a student.
If it is believed the student completed their learning path, learn more about the best practices, before changing the placement of a student. When a student placement is changed to a higher grade, the system will assign lessons of the new placement. A student can be moved up to a maximum of three grades from their enrollment grade.

Can a Teacher manually edit student placement?
- Click a Class tile.
District and School (with 2+ schools) Administrators will find Student Placements from the Students dropdown on the Schools section.
School Administrators assigned to one school can access this by selecting Student Placement from the Users section. - Select Student Placement.
- Select the ellipses in the row of the student to assign.
- Select Edit Placement.
- Under the Select Grade dropdown, select the new placement grade for the student.
The grade currently assigned is not an option to select.
Placements are maxed at three grade levels above the student's enrollment grade.If an educator believes a student should move down an ILP placement, it must be done manually. Should a student score lower than currently assigned on an assessment, they will remain at their current level until an educator manually moves them down an ILP placement.
- Click Update.
- The Placement Grade has been updated.
