District Administrators have the option to edit the default MyPath Assessment Window dates. Assessment Windows can be edited at the District and School level.
Users must be a District Administrator to edit the MyPath Assessment window at the District Level. Please contact your Customer Success Manager to edit at the School level.
Items to consider:
- It is recommended to include three or four assessment windows that are two to three months long. This allows adequate time for student growth to be measured between tests.
- There can be no date gaps between Assessment Windows. This means that when one assessment window closes, the following window must begin on the following day.
Waiting Period
- Students have a default Waiting Period between tests of 45 days before they can retake the assessment.
- For example, this means that students who completed an assessment on October 15 in the first assessment window, cannot retest until December 30, even if the second assessment window displays a start date of December 1.
- The purpose of the waiting period is to prevent students from re-testing too close to when they finished the previous assessment. More time between assessments means it’s easier to see how students have grown.
- Waiting periods should generally be about 45 days shorter than an assessment window. If the waiting period too long, students who finished their test late in the previous assessment window may be ineligible to test in the current one.
Complete the following steps to edit the Assessment Window:
- Click Assessments.
- Click Scheduling.
- Select Edit.
An assessment window start date can only be edited if the window hasn't opened. An assessment window end date can only be edited if the window hasn't closed. Once the testing window date has been closed, it cannot be reopened. For example, if an assessment window ends on November 30, edits must be applied before that date.
- Click the calendar icon to change the Assessment Window Start and End dates.
- Optional – The Waiting Period is the number of days that must pass between a student finishing the previous window's assessment and starting the assessment in the current window.
- Select Save to apply new dates.
- A window appears to display the list of institutions that were successfully and unsuccessfully saved.
- Click Download to view and save the list of institutions in which the Assessment Window edits were not applied. The "Got it!" button becomes available after downloading the file.
The list of institutions that were not saved will no longer be available after closing this window. It is recommended to save the file.
